Our Mission

As the name implies, the property position is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of both the church and the rectory and their grounds. We attempt to handle small projects in-house, but contract out all those that are beyond our capabilities. When a special situation arises an ad hoc committee is formed to decide on the best course of action before going before the entire vestry.

The Program

As of now there is no formal committee. Special problems and projects are usually handled by individuals who step forward in times of need or who respond to direct requests for help.

Church Basement Renovation

St. Stephen's July 2009 Flooded Basement

(click on the picture to bring up the album)

On Tuesday, July 7,2009, a heavy rain storm caused significant flood damage to both the church and the rectory basements. The rectory damage was a result of a flash flooding of the stream in the back yard, filling the basement with over 5 feet of water. The church damage was caused by a flash flooding of the pond on the east side of the church property. Several inches of water filled the rooms throughout the lower level with very muddy water.
The photo album is a collection of progression pictures showing the result of the flooding, along with the progress of the renovation as the work continued and the completed rooms.
