The Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Service was held at the New England Sikh Study Circle Gurdwara (place of worship) in Westborough. Attendees were welcomed warmly, and after donning a head-covering and removing shoes, were directed to the main worship hall. This impressive space contains the Sikh holy book placed on a dais covered with beautiful cloths; people sit on the carpet facing the dais.

The main theme was taken from a Maya Angelou poem – “we are more alike my friends than we are unalike”. Speakers and musicians from local worship centers used this sentiment as their focus. St Stephens’ attendees (some pictured) included choir members who joined the interfaith choir for an anthem. Afterwards refreshments were provided by the Sikh community.
