“Love cannot remain by itself — it has no meaning. Love has to be put into action, and that action is service.” – Mother Teresa of Calcutta
As Episcopalians, we believe that the Church’s mission is “to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ” through prayer, proclaiming the Good News, and promoting justice, peace, and love (Book of Common Prayer), and in the vows at our baptisms—which we renew at every baptism we attend—we promise to seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbor as ourselves. We work towards that by bringing our own gifts and talents together with the rest of the church community and joining together in various mission and service projects. We help to collect food for food pantries, to grow fresh produce for those facing food insecurity, collect warm socks and coats for veterans, and serve hot meals to those who might otherwise go without. We invite you to join with us in making the world more like the Kingdom of God that Jesus envisioned.
