Stewardship Logo - Treasure“Stewardship is about being grateful, responsible stewards of the gifts we receive from God. The tradition of giving back to God and to the church comes from the Biblical practice of “tithing,” which means to give back a tenth of our earnings to God (Numbers 18:26). The Episcopal Church sees stewardship as more than simply contributing money to the church; it’s also about contributing time and talents, and volunteering for ministry and mission. It’s about reaching out to build relationships from a perspective of abundance instead of scarcity.” – The Episcopal Church’s Office on Stewardship

St. Stephen’s relies on charitable donations to fund its work and mission. Some might be surprised to know that our budget is not funded by the Diocese or larger Episcopal Church. Each fall we invite members to submit a financial pledge so that we can plan how best to allocate our resources for the year. Pledges allow us to:

  • offer opportunities for fellowship and community,
  • educate future generations of Christians,
  • launch mission and outreach endeavors,
  • provide pastoral care,
  • share with others the good news of God’s love, and
  • continue as a place of worship for all.

Your generous donation can help us continue this important work:
