“Love so amazing, so divine demands my soul, my life, my all.”
On Saturday, February 4th, many members from St. Stephen’s assembled at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church to assist with the filling and sealing of food packages. Some members were there for the first time and others were returning for their second or third time. When we are placed in a community of helpers, especially willing helpers, the best results are achieved. This was especially clear in the faces of all the young people who participated. There was a young girl who worked next to me. I asked what time she had started and with a bold voice, she indicated 12:00 noon. By then it was 3:30 p.m. and she was still going strong. What a blessing! When the leader announced how many meals we had packed, there was a loud applause. For those who have not participated in this project, please add it to your schedule for next year, as it is VERY fulfilling and a great blessing. I look forward to next year.
God loves a willing, cheerful giver and helper, blessings!
